Right now I am in a reflective mood....
(I want to remember my life as it is RIGHT NOW)
Yesterday I woke up with Josie at 6:30 am. She immediately wanted to watch Dora the Explorer. We came upstairs and I got a blanket for Josie and a blanket for me. We layed on the new couch that Tavi and Mitch bought for the Hawkins.
I fell asleep.
I remembered that Boomer needed lunch today, so I made myself get off the couch and hurried and made Boomer a pork sandwich with salt and pepper and tomatoes. Added some cheez-it mix to a sandwich bag. Threw in a bag of sliced apples. (also a courtesy of Tavi.) And tied the plastic bag and set it on the table for Boomer to grab on his way out the door.
I immediately went back to the couch and fell asleep next to a sleeping Josie "watching" Dora.
I wake up to Josie AGAIN... "I want some planno lesson canny." (I have a basket of candy for my piano students to choose from after they pass off homework from the week before.)
"Well Josie, it is 7:30 in the morning. I probably shouldn't give you candy yet. How about cinnamon sugar toast?" (Is this a better alternative than candy... Hardly. But I feel better about giving it to her for some reason.)
Hallee wakes up. She hates Dora, but she watches it because she knows Josie will cry if she changes it. What a sweet sister she is.
Grandpa comes in and says good morning to Josie. She whines at him. I tell her to go tell grandpa sorry. She does and comes back with bubble gum. (It is now 8:30 in the morning). She lasted til 8:30 without candy. Typical day for JoJo.
I get breakfast going for the girls and then get them ready for the day. (I get me ready too.) I make some invitations for the winter boutique we are having. I take Hallee to preschool and then hand out said invitations.
I finish with perfect timing. It is time to get Hallee and go meet Boomer so we can go to Costco in St. George. (I love Costco.) I pick up Boomer and we switch the car seats from my car to his truck. (I hate moving car seats.) We get the girls in the truck and they both announce that they have to pee. (Sometimes I wish for diaper days).
We finally get on the road and Hallee falls asleep. She snores!!!! It is too funny!! Boomer and I laugh!! We talk about what we are going to get the girls and ourselves for Christmas. We laugh some more.
We get to Costco and then seperate. He has to get stuff for the store at the High School and I try to keep the girls away so he can be FAST! I find him looking at puzzles... (my christmas present: Puzzles of all the places we have been together!) I love doing puzzles and Boomer is a historian at heart, so the perfect gift for each other comes to us!! I can't wait to do all these puzzles with Boomer!! He has no idea what he just signed up for!! Haha.. I love it!!! Thanks Boomer. He really is a sweetie!!!! What guy would give the gift of doing puzzles with his wife of places they had been together, if he didn't love her!
Boomer finds "fruit source" 100% fruit snacks. (The perfect candy to give Josie in the mornings.) She loves them!!
I find a perfect present for Lynda.
We definitely get the hotdog and drink meal before leaving costco. (It's $1.50) We get the girls pizza. (Oh ya did I mention I forgot to grab their shoes when we switched cars earilier. They have been shoe-less since we arrived in St. George.) We sit and eat our hot dogs and pizza with our daughters who don't have shoes on. We get funny looks from some people for allowing our kids to not have shoes on in DECEMBER. Oh well....
We gas up (50 bones for a full tank) Yikes. We drive to Cedar and play Knock- knock, who's there, the whole way with the girls. Hallee's knock knock jokes always end with a question. For example:
Hallee: Knock Knock
Us: Who's there
Hallee: Alligator
Us: Alligator Who?
Hallee: Doesn't an Alligater live in the trees? HAHA!
We all laugh and continue the process for 45 minutes as she thinks of new funny questions.
Josie only has one knock knock joke.
Josie: Knock knock
Us: Who's there
Josie: Daisy
Us: Daisy Who?
Josie: Daisy poos on da gwass. hahaha.
She tells this Joke for 40 minutes too. Me and Boomer just laugh the whole way to Cedar.
We drop Boomer off at his referee meeting and I drive to Parowan with the girls. When we get there, the girls are so excited! We decorate a wreath for Christmas and Hallee thinks she did it all by herself. (She did do a lot of it. I should give her more credit!)
We drive back to cedar after only an hour and pick Boomer back up. We got to Roberts before it closes so I can get some earring hooks for my young women jewelry party tonight. As I am looking for the hooks, Hallee somehow tips the entire cart (*roberts carts are TINY). with herself in it, onto it's side. She scrapes her cheek on the way to the ground and then SCREAMS!! Everyone asks if she is ok. She gets a balloon on the way out. So does Josie!!
We drop my mom off at my dad's car. (He is at welding class... always learning something new.) We stop at taco time and everyone gets a crsipy burrito. YUM! We start driving home and I put in the grease soundtrack. I scoot all the way over to Boomer, like I'm still in high school, and I cuddle next to him. I am very surprised and impressed that Boomer knows ALL the words to the grease soundtrack!! I inquire as to why and he blames it on growing up with three sisters who watched it all the time. (uh huh, I am sure he got sucked in too! It's a classic.) I love that Boomer knows all the words and we sing clear to colorado city!! When Grease is over, I put in Shania Twain's greatest hits. You guessed it... Boomer knows all those songs too!!! I laugh and we sing with Shania the rest of the way home! I am so glad I married Boomer!
We get the kids home and put them to bed. We say our prayers and listen to the beetles on our ipod together (Boomer gets one earphone and I get the other.) I fall asleep in his arms!
I am so blessed and I really do love love love my life. I love my kids and my husband and I really do love living with Curt and Lyn. I think when we get our own place again... someday... I will miss them... A lot! But RIGHT NOW, I am just thankful, and HAPPY!

New Moon BUNCO!
It was my month to do Bunco so we all decided to go to New Moon. We had T-shirts made by my brother-in-law's dad, Cal, displaying which team we were rooting for.... (I had a little change of mind!!) Go Team Jacob. Sorry Edward, you are too gross in the movie!! I can't root for you anymore. (RUDE!! I know I feel bad!) Anyway, we had so much fun on the ride there and back and of course the movie was a blast!!
Sheesh Lexi! Did you get a big enough popcorn???!!!! (haha.. Just teasing. She didn't even want any, but I made her get a combo with me!) Yes, I ate almost all of it and then we refilled it and ate almost all of it again!!
"Bunco" was so fun. I think we should do a movie every 3rd month or something!! I LOVED it!!

Tonight...
Boomer is in Salt Lake with his dad. They went up to the High School state championship football games. They do this every year. They are meeting Mitch and Tanner and are going to spend a weekend of football with each other. Male Bonding.
So that leaves me with something I hate...
SLEEPING ALONE!
Hallee would be the next option, but she is spending the weekend with Gaga and Papa. So that leaves me with the craziest sleeper of ALL...
Josie. Josie can somehow manueaver a kick right to the face, or a slap to the eye. She sleeps horizontal and don't even get me started on the things she will just start yelling during the night.
So, Wish me luck TONIGHT. I would rather sleep with JOSIE than sleep by myself!!
(Lyn you are lucky Josie is here or you could be 100% sure that you would have had a bed buddy tonight!)
SWEET DREAMS!

It's not really fall until...
This is the front yard at the Hawkins house. It has a pretty good layer of leaves in the front yard. Every day Hallee suggests that we should rake them all into a big pile and jump in it. I always tell her that it's a good idea, but we never do it. So, One day after preschool I told Hallee to come help me find some rakes and we would FINALLY rake the leaves into a big pile so she could jump in it.
She of course LAUGHS because she is so excited!
Haha, Sweet face Josie... Now you know why I couldn't stop laughing and taking pictures! It was totally worth the TWO HOURS of work to see even FIVE MINUTES of pure joy! I love these girls!

The Transformation (I didn't think it was possible)
But I know that Jen has this crazy ability to reupholster pretty much anything. (You should see the project she is gearing up to do). So I know it would be easy with her help to turn this ugly stinky thing into a cute couch for my girls bedroom.
She's got her work cut out for her. So I take this thing over to her house and we start by leaving the kids with our husbands and going to get fabric. I found this cute black and white floral print and wanted to match some pink pillows with it. (p.s. while we are checking out Jen bullies the cashier into 40% off. It was great. I LOVED it!) Haha. So we go home and start to CAREFULLY remove the stained old pink covering that is on this couch. We had lots of help from our husbands who love to take things apart. It was fun and cute that they were helping. Then Brooke came over (check out her blog at allthingsthrifty.com) and checked papers and gave us her professional input on the couch.
At about 3:30 am, after a good dowsing of lysol, a new pad for the seat, and sore backs and fingers, this is what the couch finally looked like...
Dun Dun Da Duh!!!...
I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. This one is after I finished the flowers for the pillows. They are just cut out of felt. (29 cents a sheet at Michaels). So thank you, thank you, thank you JEN!! I LOVE IT! And thanks Brooke, for your advice and your help with helping me explain batting to my husband over the phone, we would have ended up with the wrong stuff if you weren't there! And thanks to Boomer and Kyle for watching the kids and helping with the couch!! (I feel like I've just won an oscar or something!) But really thanks JEN for teaching me and staying up til 3:30 while we were delirious, and after everyone else was sane enough to go to bed! You are the sweetest and best friend a girl could ask for!!!!

Hairstylist Hallee
This little girl LOVES to do hair. She is always asking me if she can do my hair! I usually agree even though she manages to just grab those tiny hairs and PULL and it really really hurts 80% of the time that she does my hair. She loves it though, so I feel bad not letting her. It hurts too bad to let her do Josie's and daddy's is not long enough!
Yesterday after Hallee's bath, we got her lotioned and bathed and then she disappeared while I did the same for Josie. She came back looking like this!! Remember she is only 4!!!
